The Government Media Office in the Gaza Strip continues to publish statistics on the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Strip, reporting in its latest updates that approximately 79,000 tons of explosives have been dropped on the Strip since October 7, 2023.
The Government Media Office in Gaza confirmed that the Israeli occupation army has dropped about 79,000 tons of explosives on the Gaza Strip since the beginning of its aggression on October 7, 2023.
In a statement containing its latest updates on the statistics of the ongoing genocide war for about nine months, the office reported that the occupation has committed 3,344 massacres in the Strip, resulting in 47,765 martyrs and missing persons.
According to the office, 15,882 of the martyrs are children, 10,538 are women, 500 are medical staff, 152 are journalists, and 33 of the total martyrs died due to starvation.
The office confirmed the arrest of 5,000 people from within the Strip since the beginning of the aggression, including 310 health workers and 23 journalists. As for the number of displaced persons, the office confirmed that it has exceeded two million.
The office pointed to the destruction of 195 government headquarters, 112 schools and universities completely destroyed, and 323 partially destroyed, in addition to 608 mosques completely destroyed and 209 partially destroyed. The office also recorded the destruction of three churches in the Strip since the beginning of the aggression.
According to the Government Media Office’s statistics, the occupation has targeted 161 health institutions since the beginning of the aggression, putting 64 out of service, including 33 hospitals.
The office estimated the initial direct losses of the genocide war on the Gaza Strip at 33 billion U.S. dollars.
