The Bahraini opposition forces, led by Al-Wefaq Society, have extended their heartfelt condolences to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the families of the martyrs, and the Iranian people following the tragic incident that resulted in the martyrdom of Iranian President Ayatollah Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Seyyed Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, and several of their companions.
In a statement issued on Monday, May 20, 2024, the opposition forces expressed their deep sorrow and prayed for God’s mercy on the martyrs and patience for the Iranian people in this great tragedy.
Additionally, Al-Wefaq National Islamic Society conveyed its condolences to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Seyyed Ali Khamenei, and to the government and people of the Islamic Republic of Iran, following the tragic plane crash that claimed the lives of President Raisi, Foreign Minister Amir-Abdollahian, and other officials.
Al-Wefaq noted that Iran lost a group of its prominent leaders in this incident, who were staunch defenders of Islamic and Arab causes, particularly the Palestinian cause, and who contributed significantly to fostering unity and cooperation among Islamic nations during their tenure.
The society expressed its solidarity with the Iranian people and shared in their grief, praying for God’s mercy on the martyrs and comfort for their families.
Furthermore, the Deputy Secretary-General of Al-Wefaq National Islamic Society, Sheikh Hussein Al-Daihi, offered his condolences to the Leader of the Revolution and the Iranian people, recalling the significant political and diplomatic roles of the martyrs and their honorable positions on the Palestinian cause, and prayed for strength for the Islamic Republic to overcome this profound loss.
