In a new statement, the Moroccan King Mohammed VI of Morocco expressed strong condemnation for the aggression witnessed in the Gaza Strip, affirming that it represents a “stain on the humanity’s forehead.” These remarks came during Morocco’s participation in the 15th Islamic Summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
In a speech delivered on behalf of the Moroccan King, Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, Ahmed Tawfiq, emphasized the necessity of halting the aggression faced by the Palestinian people and providing humanitarian aid to the residents of Gaza.
Tawfiq pointed out Morocco’s efforts in providing financial and humanitarian assistance to Palestine, in coordination with Egyptian authorities, aiming to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people.
King Mohammed VI stressed that the future of Gaza cannot be stable except through ending the attacks and achieving peace. Additionally, he emphasized the importance of halting the illegitimate Israeli measures targeting Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
He concluded his call by urging Western countries to bear their responsibilities in resolving the conflict and working towards creating suitable conditions for a genuine peaceful process in the region.
