protests continue in Jordan and Morocco in solidarity with Gaza despite repression by local authorities.
Jordan and Morocco witnessed massive demonstrations and protests, as an expression of solidarity with the residents of Gaza, and in denunciation of the continuing Israeli attacks on it, as these activities continued for the 172nd day in a row.
In Jordan, demonstrations were held in which thousands of Jordanians participated for the third day in a row in front of the Israeli occupation embassy in Amman, demanding an end to the genocide against the people of the Gaza Strip. Despite the attempts of the security forces to forcefully prevent them from reaching the embassy, the demonstrators demonstrated their protest forcefully in the courtyard of the Kaloti Mosque and surrounding areas.
Regarding the demands, the participants called on the government to stop normalization with Israel, cancel existing treaties, most notably the Wadi Araba and gas treaties, prevent the land bridge to transport goods to the occupation, and restrict the export of Jordanian vegetables to it, especially in light of the stifling siege on Gaza.
In a similar scene in Morocco, demonstrations took place after Tarawih prayers in Rabat and Marrakesh, expressing their rejection of the Israeli attacks and demanding the closure of the occupation embassy. Hundreds participated in these solidarity vigils, expressing their support for the Palestinian resistance and demanding an end to normalization with Israel and the cancellation of the relevant agreements.
These events come in an international context witnessing increasing criticism of the Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip, and demands to stop it and lift the siege on it, with participants stressing that the only solution lies in supporting the Palestinian resistance as a means of repelling the occupation and achieving freedom for the Palestinians.
