The stock markets in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries witnessed a notable improvement last Monday, with most stocks experiencing an increase in their value, except for Bahrain, which saw a decline.
In the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Abu Dhabi Securities Market index rose by 0.148% to reach 9245.05 points, while the Dubai Financial Market index gained 0.401% to reach 4263.29 points.
In the primary stock market index (TASI) in Saudi Arabia, the increase was recorded at 0.17%, reaching 12,423.01 points, with trading volume of 246.75 million shares valued at 7.01 billion riyals.
The general market index in the Kuwait Stock Exchange rose by 0.37% to 7354.28 points, with trading volume of 169.45 million shares valued at 39.21 million dinars.
On the other hand, the Qatar Exchange saw an increase of 0.18% with its index reaching 9864 points, while the trading volume in this market was approximately 545 million riyals.
In Bahrain, however, the situation was different, as the general stock index witnessed a decline of 0.43% to reach 2033.87 points, with trading volume of 1.07 million shares valued at 653,941 dinars.
In the Sultanate of Oman, the Muscat Securities Market index rose by 0.60% to 4663.296 points, with trading volume of 17.33 million shares valued at 2.02 million riyals.
Outside the Gulf region, the Egyptian Exchange witnessed a significant increase, with the EGX 30 index rising by 5.26% to reach 28297.17 points.
