The Salam Organization for Democracy and Human Rights considered that the Bahraini Parliament is supposed to represent Bahrainis and should reflect the diverse voices of the citizens.
In a series of posts on Platform X, it pointed out the need for reforms to ensure the participation of all Bahrainis if they wish and their fair representation.
It mentioned that democracy requires the continuous involvement of citizens, considering that ensuring the participation and accountability of the Parliament are critical steps toward achieving better governance.
It noted that effective oversight is the key to effective governance, questioning the Bahraini Parliament’s ability to exercise effective oversight over the government’s actions.
