The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs yesterday announced that more than 1.1 million people in Gaza are facing severe levels of food insecurity.
The United Nations emphasized that access barriers to aid delivery persist and time is running out.
The organization stressed that there is no alternative to sending ground aid to save human lives, especially in northern Gaza.
This comes as on Tuesday, for the first time in over 5 months since the Zionist war, the Security Council of the United Nations voted on a resolution emphasizing “an immediate ceasefire” in Gaza.
In this resolution, presented by non-permanent members of the Security Council, the need to increase aid delivery to northern Gaza and remove all obstacles in this regard was emphasized.
