Israeli media circulated a video showing the moment the mother of the perpetrator of the Karmiel attack was arrested near the scene of the incident at the shopping center in northern Israel. The mother, blindfolded and surrounded by Israeli police officers, is seen in the footage.
Another video shows the arrest of a young man, whose identity has not been disclosed, but he appears to be the attacker’s brother.
The newspaper “Yedioth Ahronoth” published the video on its Telegram account, commenting: “Arrest of the relatives of the Karmiel mall attacker.”
Earlier today, Israeli police announced that three people, including two soldiers, were injured in a stabbing attack inside a shopping mall in Karmiel, northern Israel. The police described the incident as a terrorist attack, adding that the attacker “was neutralized.”
Later, it was announced at Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya that one of the injured in the stabbing attack had died. Security officials confirmed that the attacker was identified as Jawad Rabih (20 years old), an Arab-Israeli from the local council of Nahf near Karmiel.
