The Israeli occupation army announced on Monday that its air force bombed a Hezbollah military site on Mount Tura in southern Lebanon, and that its forces intercepted a suspicious aerial target in Lebanese airspace.
The occupation army added that it fired artillery to neutralize threats in several areas in southern Lebanon.
Al Jazeera’s correspondent reported that an Israeli drone carried out an airstrike on the town of Houla in southern Lebanon. Earlier, the correspondent mentioned that Israeli fighter jets conducted two airstrikes on the towns of Aita al-Shaab and Talouseh in southern Lebanon.
On Sunday, Hezbollah announced that it attacked an Israeli long-range technical and electronic reconnaissance center with drones in the eastern direction of Mount Hermon in the occupied Syrian Golan Heights.
The party stated in a communiqué that the attack hit surveillance, intelligence equipment, and technical systems, confirming that part of the reconnaissance center’s equipment was destroyed.
A Hezbollah source told Al Jazeera that this is the first time the technical electronic reconnaissance center on Mount Hermon has been targeted since the October 1973 war.
According to the same source, the targeting of the reconnaissance center on Mount Hermon is considered the largest aerial operation by the party since October 8.
Lebanese and Palestinian factions in Lebanon, most notably Hezbollah, have been exchanging daily cross-border fire with the Israeli army since October 8, resulting in hundreds of casualties on both sides.
These factions condition the cessation of their attacks on Israel ending its war on the Gaza Strip, which began on October 7.
In recent weeks, the escalation between Tel Aviv and Hezbollah has increased, raising fears of a full-scale war, especially after the Israeli army announced a week ago that it had approved operational plans for a wide-scale attack on Lebanon.
