United Nations Secretary-General, António Guterres, called for immediate access for international investigators to the mass graves in Gaza.

Additionally, Guterres pointed out the grave danger posed by Israel’s planned attack on Rafah in the southern sector, warning of its serious repercussions.

In his statements to the media, he emphasized the importance of conducting an independent investigation into the recently discovered mass graves in Gaza.

According to the governmental media office in the region, Israeli forces have established six mass graves within Gaza hospitals, from which the remains of 454 martyrs have been retrieved since the outbreak of the war seven months ago.

The majority of these remains were recovered from mass graves discovered recently in the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Yunis, southern Gaza, following the withdrawal of occupying forces.

Guterres stressed the necessity of allowing independent international investigators unhindered and immediate access to the sites of the mass graves in Gaza.

Regarding the repercussions of the war, the UN Secretary-General noted the worsening humanitarian situation in Gaza day by day, with the healthcare system destroyed and some hospitals resembling graveyards.

He also urged Israel and Hamas to reach an agreement to halt the hostilities and release detainees.

He concluded his call by requesting expedited delivery of aid to Gaza and ensuring security for accompanying teams.
