In a new development, the Supreme Leader of the Iranian Revolution, Sayyed ali khamenei, affirmed in a stern message following the treacherous attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, that Iran will not leave this act of aggression without a response.
He expressed his confidence that the Zionist entity, the occupying and contemptible regime, will regret this reprehensible act and will pay a heavy price for it.
Sayyed ali khamenei issued a statement reaffirming that the Zionist occupation will be held accountable by our sons, and they will make it regret this heinous crime and others like it.
In his statements, His Eminence announced the martyrdom of General Mohammad Reza Zahedi and his comrade General Mohammad Hadi Haj Rahimi in the attack perpetrated by the treacherous Zionist occupation. He mourned the martyrs, saying, “May Allah have mercy on them and admit them to the highest levels of paradise, and may Allah curse the leaders of this oppressive and aggressive regime.”
Sayyed ali khamenei added, expressing both his sorrow and pride, “General Zahedi had been looking forward to martyrdom in the arenas of danger and jihad since the eighties. He lost nothing but achieved the highest rank, martyrdom. However, this great loss will not be erased from the memory of the Iranian people and will remain a symbol of sacrifice and heroism for all who knew and loved them.”
