“What we are seeing is an unprecedented series of war crimes in Gaza,” said Francesca Albanese, the UN Special Rapporteur on Palestinian affairs, noting that she had been threatened several times since she began writing her report.

She also said, “We need more research to determine whether what happened in 1948 was genocide or not.”
Referring to Israel’s violation of international laws and human rights, Albaniz explained, “Israel said its goal was to destroy Hamas, but its actions led to the killing of many civilians.”
She also added: “What Israel is doing in Gaza is making living conditions impossible for the Palestinians.”
