Al-Wefaq Society: The Bahraini regime prefers normalization with the imperialist powers over dialogue with the people
Al-Wefaq National Islamic Society described the Bahraini normalization agreement with Israel as the weakest in the region, because it is based on consensual blackmail.
It mentioned in a post on the Ex platform (formerly known as Twitter) that the Bahraini regime prefers selling the country’s independence over sitting with its people at the national dialogue tables and negotiating settlement of the pending issues and upholding citizens’ rights.
Furthermore, the National Islamic Accord Association added that the deal of the century signed by the Bahraini regime in 2020 lacks popular legitimacy, and the authority did so to seek false satisfaction and obtain fake protection in exchange for selling its independence!
The National Islamic Accord Association sees it as unreasonable for regimes like the Bahraini regime to continue evading their responsibilities towards their people and content themselves with being regimes subordinate to major powers, paying them tribute from their wealth and riches, and losing their independence, decision-making, and freedom instead of being independent systems enjoying their wealth and gaining the acceptance of their people.
