Youssef Al-Khaja: Bahrain Buys Tanks Worth Billions of Dollars While Lacking Land Borders and Facing Financial Deficit
Youssef Al-Khaja, a leader in the Waad Society, sparked a wave of criticism regarding the massive financial deals carried out by Bahrain, following its announcement of purchasing American tanks at a cost of $2.2 billion.

In a post on the “X” platform, Al-Khaja did not miss the opportunity to express his frustration with the Bahraini government’s policies of massive deals, hinting at McLaren Automotive’s hefty purchases despite its repeated losses, pointing out the financial deficit the country is facing.
Among other questions raised by Al-Khaja in his post was the issue of closing Gulf air stations that generate tangible profits for travel to Bahrain, while the government continues to cover the millions of dollars in losses it incurs annually.
