Hezbollah announced today, Saturday, that it launched a drone attack on an Israeli artillery position in the Beit Hillel area of northern Israel. Israeli media subsequently reported that a fire broke out in the area due to the crash of two drones launched from Lebanon.
Hezbollah stated in a statement reported by the National News Agency of Lebanon: “The Islamic Resistance fighters today carried out an aerial attack with a swarm of attack drones on the artillery position of the 403rd Battalion of the 91st Division in Beit Hillel, which attacked our villages and people yesterday. The targets were hit accurately, causing fires to break out.”
For its part, the Israeli occupation army stated on its platform on X: “Two suspicious aerial targets were detected coming from Lebanese territory and fell in an open area in the Beit Hillel region, with no injuries reported.”
The Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth clarified that firefighting teams began extinguishing a fire that broke out in an agricultural area south of Beit Hillel in the Galilee Finger area, due to the crash of the two drones.
In another statement, the Israeli army said following the activation of alarms for the infiltration of hostile drones into the north of the country: “Our air defenses managed to intercept a suspicious aerial target launched from Lebanese territory, with no injuries reported.”
