“Israeli Protests: Pressure Mounts on Netanyahu to End Gaza War and Retrieve Prisoners”

Amidst growing popular movements and protests within Israel against the government’s policies and the army’s continuation of the ongoing conflict in Gaza, the Hebrew newspaper “Haaretz” reported today that the situation in Israel is heading towards a noticeable deterioration after six months of war. This necessitates ending the Gaza war and immediately bringing back the Israeli soldiers, along with the resignation of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

“Haaretz” emphasized that the matter is a matter of life and death for Israelis today, considering Netanyahu as the main responsible for the detention of 133 Israelis in Gaza for the past six months. It pointed out that Netanyahu, with his failed policies, allowed the detention of Israelis from the beginning, and his negligence has been the reason for their continued imprisonment since October 7.

The Hebrew newspaper firmly stated that the current circumstances call for Netanyahu’s departure and the appointment of someone else in his place. Netanyahu is only seeking to maintain power, and his supporters today are the conservative extremists who are pressing for the continuation of the conflict.

The newspaper pointed out that Netanyahu and his extremist government are willing, even at the expense of Israeli lives, to continue the conflict. It stressed that all Israelis must stand by the families of the detained soldiers and exert pressure for their release.

Furthermore, “Haaretz” declared that it has been six months since the Al-Aqsa Storm, and the situation has deteriorated since then, emphasizing the need to end the war, bring back the soldiers, and remove Netanyahu, confirming that this matter is a matter of life and death.

“Israeli Protests Demand Acceptance of Prisoner Exchange Conditions”

“This comes at a time when gatherings of families of detained soldiers and Israeli protesters have been announced in the vicinity of ‘Kirya,’ the headquarters of the Israeli Ministry of Defense.

Haaretz mentioned in its report that Saturday night witnessed protests against the government throughout Israel (Occupied Palestine), as seen in previous weeks, where Israelis demanded the immediate return of those detained in Gaza through chants against Netanyahu.

These protests included about 50 locations in (Occupied Palestine), including Jerusalem, Haifa, Beersheba, Qaysariyah, and Tel Aviv.”
