Majeed Milad: If the demands of February 14 had been met, Bahrain wouldn’t be in this dire economic situation, nor would it have been associated with the Zionist entity.
Majeed Milad, a member in Al-Wefaq National Islamic Society, stated that if some of the demands for comprehensive reform in Bahrain, which were raised on February 14, had been met, normalization wouldn’t have occurred.
In a series of posts on the Ex platform, Milad observed that if these demands had been implemented, the billions of debts wouldn’t have accumulated, which are increasing and being paid for by the blood of citizens, nor would the unemployment crisis have worsened.
He remarked that if the serious demands raised by citizens on February 14 had been addressed, citizens’ living conditions wouldn’t have deteriorated, and foreigners wouldn’t have been favored over them. He noted that naturalization was an opportunity seized by the authorities in the absence of real oversight.
Milad questioned the reason for the weakness of the parliament, the sidelining of municipal councils, and the shelving of citizens’ political demands in Bahrain.
He emphasized that February 14 remains a significant and distinctive mark in Bahrain’s history, and that comprehensive reforms are essential, with citizens being the priority in achieving national demands.
Furthermore, he pointed out that the Palestinian cause will remain fundamental to Bahrain and its people, and that meeting the demands of the February 14 movement would have prevented any Zionist from entering Bahrain.
