Ali Alderazi, the head of the National Institution for Human Rights, continues to carry out his tasks assigned to him in improving the image of the regime. His position is no different from other officials who comply with the ruler’s will and cover up his violations.

During his meeting with a delegation of employees from the US House of Representatives and Senate, Ali Ahmed Alderazi spoke shamelessly about the role of the National Institution for Human Rights in Bahrain, despite it becoming, due to the regime, a tool for repression, discrimination, and covering up violations.

The National Institution, which has lost its connection to empathy with the suffering and tragedy faced by political prisoners, now embellishes the image of prisons falsely, ignoring complaints and testimonies proving violations such as medical neglect, torture, and solitary confinement.

Ali Alderazi attempted to convince international delegations that the institution is committed to safeguarding the rights of citizens in Bahrain, but in reality, it is controlled by the regime to ensure the continuation of violations, concealment of dissenting voices, distortion of reality in an unrealistic manner, and misleading the public opinion about rights in the country.
