Yemeni Armed Forces announced on Saturday two major operations targeting an American vessel and warships in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.

In a statement, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, the spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces, stated that the first operation targeted the American commercial vessel “Providence” with naval missiles in the Gulf of Aden.

Brigadier General Saree also mentioned that the second operation involved 37 drones and anti-ship cruise missiles against several American warships and destroyers in the Red Sea.

He affirmed that the operations “successfully achieved their objectives.”

Simultaneously, the Yemeni Armed Forces reiterated their commitment to “resilience in military operations in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea until the Israeli aggression ceases and the blockade on the oppressed Palestinian people is lifted.”

Earlier on Friday, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) reported an attack on a ship southeast of Aden.
