Sana’a, Yemen – The Yemeni Armed Forces announced the successful execution of a qualitative military operation against a US warship (Star iris ship) off the coast of the Red Sea.
In a press statement, the official spokesperson of the Armed Forces, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, explained that the operation targeted the US Navy ship “Star iris” with a “Qasef 2K” ballistic missile.
Brigadier General Saree confirmed that the hit was accurate and direct, resulting in significant damage to the ship and casualties among its crew.
The spokesperson pointed out that this operation comes within the framework of the legitimate response to the ongoing US aggression against Yemen and its unjust siege on the Yemeni people.
Brigadier General Saree warned the United States of America against the consequences of continuing its aggression against Yemen, stressing that the Yemeni Armed Forces will continue to respond to any aggression or violations of Yemen’s sovereignty.
It is worth noting that this is the fourth operation of its kind carried out by the Yemeni Armed Forces against US warships in the Red Sea this year.
